As a former member of MERC (and I only left due to real life time constraints/obligations) and a gamer that has known the founding members of MERC for a long time I can tell you they bring to the table a great home for gamers looking for a competitive and cool headed community. Those in charge work hard to make MERC a place where mature gamers can come together and play as a team that not only wins games, but have a lot of fun doing it.
Hey guys, I'm not one to get to interested in a forum signature, but I would like to update my avatar image.
I like the basic idea of what I have now, but I've been thinking of some tweaks to it.
I'd like to model it after the SAS's symbol, the one with the wings on the hilt of a sword. But instead of the wings have squirrel tails. A more ninja looking sword and then "Benedictus es Deus" on the scrolling at the bottom. A garland/wreath around the out side would be cool to (sort of what is on the one I have now.)
Gold on black for the ...
MERC is the place to be for a gamer that is looking for a group of guys to game with on a mature level. Like Sabre said, no matter what your current skill level or desired skill level, they can teach you how to play better. All they look for is the ability to stand up and do what you say you will and that you are able to play as a member of a team. Merc is not a place for a lone wolf that is out for personal glory. Merc is not a place for someone that wants to put themselves before others. Merc is not a place that puts personal glory before the...
Its a very nice touch. I'll have to look into something like that.
Looks great. I especially like the idea of the time zone clocks you have there. Are those for effect or do you have members the spread out across the globe?
I see, thats the sort of information I'd keep in a text file on your computer. Have you tried getting in touch with the Enjin folks? I've seen others post about this sort of deal and have gotten their stuff back.
It can be slow, and what I've seen in the clans I've been a part of is massive recruitment drives followed a few weeks later by roster cuts when people don't make the commitment.
For example. A clan may get 25 or 30 new recruits over the course of a few days durring a recruitment drive. Then a few weeks later all but 5 are cut. Part of building a community is finding solid, dependable people to help. They can be hard to find, but once you do the effort is worth it.
Since your aim is to build a community on a university campus you have t...
Umm..I'm not totally sure what your after here but when I want to use a table/chat I generally use a Google Doc version and post the link.
I think you could then all anyone with the link to the document to edit it.
Best option I see right now is to use a Google document and just copy the link into the thread. A little unweildy, but you pretty much get a whole excel alike program to play around with. You can do pretty much everything you want to.
It would be a nice feature to have, but I'd also imigine that Enjin would need a lot of extra storage space for people to do their own backups.
What I've done in the past if I have forum threads that contain important information I copy the text into a MS WOrd document (or whatever your chosen text editor may be) and have a file on my computer for it. That way if these important threads are lost/deleted I can just copy and pste things back in.
If you want to save whole thread discussion that becomes a lot of work, but for s a few import...
